Create without a plan
On iPhone or iPad, choose Start a Binder, then Start from a Template. Choose Blank Report, Work Instructions or another template. You can create and export a Report without adding a Point.
A PDF will not import
Save the PDF or image locally in Files, confirm it opens there, then import it again. Password-protected or damaged PDFs may need a clean copy.
Camera or location is unavailable
Open device Settings, find Plotava, and allow the permission needed for the action. The rest of the project remains usable without that permission.
Markup looks missing
Open the exact photo, crop, PDF page, or plan where the markup was created. Markup stays attached to its source rather than floating in a separate measurement list.
Choose the right export
Pages Only exports just your pages without navigation links. Complete Binder includes linked supporting details. Keep ample free storage and leave the app in the foreground for a large export.
Restore a purchase
Use Settings → Plotava Pro → Restore Purchases while signed into the same Apple or Google account that made the purchase.
Protect editable work
On iPhone or iPad, use Binder Backup and save it to your approved Files destination. The PDF is a sharing copy; the backup preserves editable data. Do this before deleting a Binder or uninstalling the app.
Dictate or Tidy Text is unavailable
Dictate requires supported on-device speech recognition and permission to use the microphone and speech recognition. Tidy Text additionally requires iOS 26, compatible Apple Intelligence hardware and Apple Intelligence enabled. Typing remains available.
Start the next free Binder
One binder at a time is free. Export the completed PDF and save an editable backup if needed, then delete that Binder from the app. The built-in User Guide does not use your free allowance. Update to 1.2.0 if an old sample incorrectly blocks creation.
What to include in a support request
- Device model and operating-system version.
- Plotava version from Settings.
- The exact action taken immediately before the issue.
- Whether the source was a Report, imported or scanned PDF, photo, aerial plan, or sketch.
- A screen recording or screenshot with client-sensitive information removed.
Android availability
Android currently supports the core plan-linked photo, markup and PDF workflow. The Report creator, Dictate, Recordings, scanner, Pages Only and User Guide described above are iPhone and iPad features, not Android instructions.
